Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. Notchbook works fully offline. Sync is optional.
How does sync work?
Each device keeps its own copy and shares changes through a hidden folder in your own iCloud or Google Drive. On iPhone choose iCloud or Google Drive in Settings; on Android, Google Drive. Use Google Drive on every device to share one log between iPhone and Android.
Sync says another device uses a newer version.
Update Notchbook on all your devices. Older versions pause syncing so they never overwrite newer data.
Why does a different filter paper show as a separate dial-in?
Paper changes flow rate, so the right grind changes too. Each paper keeps its own pinned setting.
How do I move my data?
Settings, then Your data: export a JSON backup and import it on the other device. Importing merges and keeps the newer version of each entry.
How do I delete my data?
Turn off sync and choose to remove the cloud copy, then uninstall the app.
